The Alliance for Community Media-Central States Region represents over 950 public, educational, and government (PEG) access organizations in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio. The “Philo” is awarded as recognition of excellence in media creation. In 2017, SCSTV led our state in Philo awards…five with a sweep in the Interview/Talk Show category. Awards will be presented to the SCSTV staff at the Philo Festival of the Media Arts event on October 20, 2017 in Lake Orion, Michigan.

To date, SCSTV has won 9 major video production awards…7 in 2017 and 2 in 2016.

FYI…after the winners and finalists are selected for the Philo Festival of Media Awards, the judges return to the critique sheets and selected excellence nominees in several technical categories.

In addition to winning 3 first place and 2 finalist awards, SCSTV has been nominated for 9 “Best of”/”Excellence” awards:
