This commission recommends, implements, and actively participates in beautification improvements within the city.

Communications Commission
This group is the advisory team for community issues including cable and webpage.

Cool City Committee
Duties of the Cool City Committee include working and connecting with civic and city organizations, committees and commissions, to move the city in a spirited direction, making businesses, neighborhoods, and events a greater success and positively promoting the city.

Cultural Committee
This committee promotes cultural activities and enrichment for the residents.

Dog Park Committee
The purpose of the Dog Park Committee is to promote cultural activities and enrichment for the residents.

Historical Commission
The Historical Commission collects and preserves historic memorabilia and and oversees operation of the Selinsky-Green Farmhouse Museum.

Older Persons Advisory Committee
This group reviews the needs of the senior citizen population.

SCS Memorial Day Parade Committee
The committee was created for the continuation of hosting the annual Memorial Day Parade.

Waterfront Environmental Committee
Responsibilities of this committee include monitoring, coordinating, and promoting clean, safe usage of Lake St. Clair.
