City Council Candidate Listing

The City Clerk's office is open the Saturday prior to each election from 8 am  - 2 pm  for Absentee Ballots Only.


Election results will  be posted to our website when all the precinct and absentee ballots are reported. 

The Deadline to get registered to vote is 30 days prior to an election.    To check your registration go to:  www.mi.gov/vote

Election Inspectors
Want to work as an Election Inspector at the Voting Precincts on Election Day? To work as an election inspector you must be:

  • A U.S. citizen
  • Registered to vote in the state of Michigan
  • Not related to someone running for office on that election ballot
  • Submit and Complete Application

 Inspectors are paid $150 for working election day and $16 to attend a training class.
 
High school students over the age of 16 can work as long as they are:

  • A U.S. citizen
  • Not related to someone running for office on that election ballot

The Office of the City Clerk hires approximately 165 - 250 election inspectors to operate the 23 polling locations within the City limits each election.
