Domestic Violence Prevention Program Overview

The Domestic Violence Prevention Program consists of five, 1.5-hour sessions taught by a counselor. Its purpose is to teach offenders alternative methods of dealing with disputes rather that resorting to violence. The class also provides education on the effects and impact of assaultive behavior.

Session Details

  • Held quarterly, via Zoom
  • Five consecutive Wednesday nights, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 
  • Program fee is $150

Register/Enroll

  • Pay the $150 fee for the class HERE. Be sure to put "6008" for the PLC and "DVPP" for your case number. 
  • Email the court with your Name, Phone Number, and case number. Please also indicate the date of your payment. If you do not have access to email, please contact the Court at 586-445-5280.  You may also pay at the courthouse. 
  • After completion of the steps above, the court will email you with a date to begin classes.
