Absentee Ballots are available 40 days prior to each election at the City Clerk's Office or by mail.

Absentee Voting & Voter Registration Deadlines to Know:
- Voter Registration Deadlines (PDF)
- Absentee Ballot Applications are available 75 days prior to each election.
- Absentee Ballots are available in person at the City Clerk's Office 40 days prior to each election.
- Absentee Ballots sent to you by mail: By 5:00 p.m. the Friday before Election Day
- Absentee Ballots issued in person at the City Clerk's Office: By 4:00 p.m. the Monday before Election Day.
- Absentee Ballot must be returned to the City Clerk's office or St. Clair Shores Official Election Drop Box before 8:00 p.m. on Election Day and can be returned the following ways:
- By Mail
- St. Clair Shores Official Election Drop Boxes: 24 hours / 7 days a week.
- City Clerk's Counter: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and any extended election hours.
Drop Box Locations:
- City Hall 27600 Jefferson Ave - White City Mailbox at front entrance.
- City Hall 27600 Jefferson Ave - White Election Drop Box at rear entrance.
Warning: Any tampering with ballots or a ballot drop box is a crime.
Damaging, destroying, or concealing any ballot drop box violates Michigan law and is punishable as a felony. MCL 168.932.
Unauthorized possession of an absentee ballot violates Michigan law and is punishable as a misdemeanor. MCL 168.931.
